That week I neglected the blogs....

I'm back ya'll!  Last week I was MIA!! I'm just tired...I think everything has caught up with me!!  And I really wasn't myself last week...I think I have officially entered my FALL FUNK!!  The weather was terrible, I was running here and there, the week was slow, the month was ending, and all I wanted to do when I got home was veg...and drink wine!!  But today I am back on my game!!  Linking up with my girl Deena for her Month is numbers!  And I am super excited today, because in just a few hours I get to meet Deena IN THE FLESH!!  Woo hoo!!

On to today's post...September was fairly uneventful.  Getting back into the swing of things with School meant that most days were filled with that...SCHOOL!!  But I do have a few more tidbits to share.

Now that summer is behind me, and school is in full swing, I spent less time with family this month, but there were still a few days to be celebrated with family....

A Labor Day party at my sister's where I celebrated the last days of summer, a birthday for Miss Lauren who turned 11, and  a family get together where we watched the Jets first game of the season (anything for a party!) and said a fond farewell to my parents (until Thanksgiving!).

Two surprise visits from my sisters were the only other times I saw family!

September is always the busy back to school month. 20 days of school, plus one late night for Meet the Teacher, and lots of after care, means I'm back at it ...but it also means the much needed Happy Hour on a Friday is in full effect.  Whether I drank wine in my pj's by five p.m. or was out at the bar with friends, I'm working for the weekend.

More than a dozen pumpkin ales were consumed this month...September is for pumpkin!\

After a crazy August eating out, I got a Peapod order this month.  I made three crock pot meals, that meant I hat lots of leftovers and ate at home more this month.  I only ate out 4 times this month.

I made 2 visits to the library this month, but finished 0 books. (It's day two of October and am so close to finishing my second book of the month tho!  Ha!  So stay tuned for info on my reads later this month.

One super fun weekend with friends and two of my favorite littles, where 100 rounds of Zingo were played...0 of which I won!  #AuntKatieisaLOSER!!

September also brings new shows.  If you missed my Fall Preview you can find it here! I have watched 6 new shows, the three I mentioned in my post as well as Bull, Notorious, and The Good Place.  I've already gave up on The Good Place, am loving Speechless and This is Us, and am really enjoying Bull.  Notorious was good, but it's not appointment viewing and it won't get a spot on my DVR.  if I catch it, I catch it!

That's pretty much September in a nutshell!

Because I was pretty much all over the place this month, the blog wasn't anyone's go-to read...but I totally understand and thank my loyal visitors and readers for always reading and visiting!

I hope October finds me blogging more!!  Have a great Monday!  As great as Monday can be! LOL

  3. I'm one of your loyals Katie and am glad you're back! I totally understand needing a break! Getting back into routine can be a jolt after having summer off. I'm pretty impressed that you only ate out four times in September. I'm going to have to check into Peapod!
I'm SUPER bummed that This Is Us isn't on tonight. Stinking vice presidents... :(
