March Pin-Spired!

It's March....We're getting closer to Spring...I just know it!!  Even though as I type this, it's SNOWING!  Ugh!  I'm not shocked!

The First of March means Pin-spired!  

Linking up with Sheaffer @ Pinterest Told Me To, Shay @ Mix and Match Family, and Mel @ The Larson Lingo to showcase my takes on some outfits I've pinned!

This month I thought I'd highlight my skinny plum cords that I honesty have not worn at all this winter!  I found them getting looks together for  The #Create28 with Carrie at A Lovely Little Wardrobe.  Colored bottoms were a look one day.  I didn't end up wearing them, because it was a work day and cords are just a little too causal for work.  (And I actually completely failed the challenge too!!  I was sick for a big chunk of the time, so most of this month I was on my couch in PJs!  I do have all the prompts though and fully intend to incorporate them into my wardrobe!)

But back to the plum skinny cords...I couldn't believe I went the whole winter without wearing them, after wearing them so much last winter!  But I figured since March is obviously still cold, plum cods are totally acceptable!!  Here are some of the looks I've pinned (some going back a year!) and how I interpreted the pins! (Sorry in advance for my terrible lighting. These are my actual cords, but unfortunately the plum is no longer available.


This pin was actually the reason I first started following Alison at Get Your Pretty On. Ha!  I had a pair of plum cords that I didn't style very often and saw this and thought I could totally do that!

This next look was pinned more recently.  I think it may be a bit to bold for me, but that's what pinspired helps us do...try things, right?!?!

It wasn't terrible after I put it on, but I do think it would look better with a sweater-sweater rather than the cardigan!  But I'm sure we can all agree- Way Cuter Pin!

January Pin-spired- Otherwise known as "Sheaffer Told Me To"!

January 2nd!!  Crazytown!  Hope everyone had a great New Year!

I am starting the new year off on the right foot and linking up with Sheaffer and Melissa again for Pin-Spired!  Shay's off today because she's off scooping up sweet baby Ashby!!  It's been so fun following the family in China.

Today I'm actually sharing 2 outfits that Sheaffer featured on Pinterest Told Me To and I ended up pinning!  Hope that's allowed (and not too stalkerish!)  HA! I actually could have posted lots of outfits but I'll stop at two...just because I have worn them recently!

She's featured this and other Calson Tunics a number of times because they are awesome with leggings!   When I saw this one on sale and with 10% back at ebates it was a no-brainer...it was mine! It's  a little different than the other Calson Tunics I have bause it's not as loose, but I like it a lot...I might have worn it twice just this week! (It's all about who you see, people!!)

For my interpretation, I switched it up a bit with black leggings and gray riding boots! 

I was able to recreate another of Sheaffer's looks and am including it because it features my BELOVED Blanket Scarf!!  Or as my family so affectionately refers to it...the BLARF!! WAAAAHHHHHH

I may really wear it every other day!!

A Think Pink Pinspired!

Linking up once again with Sheaffer, Shay and Mel for this month's pinspired!  I know technically this is November's Pinspired, but since I didn't post last month, I thought I would showcase a pink look as a way to end Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  To show my support, this month I decided to make October Fridays, PINK Fridays.  So naturally, for help styling my pink looks, I headed to Pinterest. {follow me!} I will be showing ya'll what I wore throughout the month in a What I Wore Wednesday post soon, but for now I'm ending the month with probably my fave pink outfit of them all!

As you may know, I've been participating in the Style Me Pretty Challengeswith Alison at Get Your Pretty On.  One of the most fun parts of the challenge is the Facebook group for all the participants, where you're free to post pics of yourself in the daily outfits if you want.  So today my "pin" is actually coming from a fellow challenger, Courtney.  She was off challenge this day, because she was going to a Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser, but she still showcased her look in the group!  As I looked at it I thought...."I have that sweater....I have that grey striped top....I have pants like that!  And BAM....I was pinspired by Courtney. And just like that my pinspired post was done!  HA!!  Totally loved this easy, put together look!  I wore it with my moto pointe pants I scored for a steal at Victoria's Secret!

She mentioned that she pinned the look and had to try it out! When I went to pin her pin....I got that "PSST...you already pinned this" message!

I asked Courtney if I could feature her in my post, and she was delighted!  How cute is Courtney!?!?

She's way better at taking selfies than I am!!

August Pin-spired!

How is it August already?!?!?! GROSS!!!!!  Contrary to what I might've have said here, I am really not looking forward to the end of summer. I don't wanna go back to real life anytime soon!  But I do love me some Pin-spired!!

 Last weekend I spent the weekend at concerts.  It was so, so much fun!   (I really should have done a weekend recap blog but I gotta tell ya, two shows in two days...actually three in a week, has really thrown me for a loop!!  Since this summer has totally turned out to be "The Summer of Concerts" I am going to recap it all later this month!!!  

But back to Pin-spired...for Sunday's show, instead of wearing my cowboy boots, which need to be repaired, I decided to wear my riding boots.  I went on Pinterest (of course) for a little inspiration and found that this is totally a thing and ok to do!  

But I really got the idea for my outfit from this pic/movie/pin:

The Lucky One is a favorite movie of mine (the book is always better than the movie but the movie WAS really great too)!! And let's be honest, Zac Efron isn't hard to look at. (I kinda feel like a cougar saying that, but it's the truth! HA!) And I know you can't really see the boots in this pic, but they look super cute!

Easy enough and it looked pretty cute!!  All of the pieces I pulled right outta my closet and threw together in about five minutes. (My bestie can attest!)   This is also a look I can wear into early fall which is great. I'll be wearing this again for sure.

Little Late to the link-up today because I was on the fence about having this post go live! But then decided I didn't wanna miss out!!  Linking up with Mel,Sheaffer, and Shay for another Pin-spired! I totally love this link-up!  I love looking at everyone's looks and realizing...I've have this outfit pinned, too or WOW!  I can totally do that with what's in my closet!

Now's as good a time as any to try this...or so I thought!!

Ordinarilly, I would never wear the dress like this.  In fact, I've only worn it like this!  

Maybe with a denim jacket thrown in if I got chilly!  I love the ruching and the side slit of this dress!  And people {these} sandals are $10....go grab them now!  I got the brown AND the nude!!

For the sake of pinspired and because I totally love my Cons, I tried it like the pin.  And my first thought was that she was wearing socks with her cons, but now I'm pretty sure they're hi tops!  I clicked on the pin to get the deets, but nothing comes up now...boooooo!!

Let's be honest....I kinda look like a serial killer, right?  HA!!  Clearly I am not the model that can pull this off!  And I really wish I was like a professional blogger who can have professional pictures taken! My pictures are not coming out that great lately and I am worried I touched something on my phone that may have changed a setting!!  WAAAHHHHHH!!

I knew that this had to be my Pinspired look this month!  I could totally rock my own version of this, with a new top I JUST got from Piper Street!  YAY!!

My exact jeans are Vigoss from Nordstrom and are sold out...which I kinda figured was gonna happen, which is why I was thinking Spring when I bought these in early March during a snowstorm! HA!  There lots of pink skinnies but {these} are similar and the most affordable!

April Pinspired

Well...it's SUPPOSED TO be Spring!  Mother nature had other ideas!  5 inches of snow fell in my town on Monday!!  And while I long for the days of short sleeves, military jackets, and sandals,  I'm not gonna show you a particularly springy outfit... instead, I'm showcasing a fave of winter that I plan on taking with me into Spring:

Ok...so lately I have been longing for Spring and pinning so many super cute outfits I kinda can't wait to wear! But as I type this, the wind is whipping, it's 9 degrees outside, and ANOTHER snow storm is being forecast for the weekend! Say it with me people....BBBBOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

So chances of me doing a super cute, springy Pin-spired this time around was not in the cards. I went further down my outfit choices from the past and found a super easy one I pulled together in no time!

I really liked this!  I had all the pieces and was able to wear the boots I got on super sale with it so that's a plus!  And truth be told, I've had these red trouser pants in my closet for a year and a half...and only worn them a handful of times!

But...I think I would have rathered a more skinny, tighter, pant for the boots!

I've been inspired to get Pinspired!!

 I'm gonna do something a bit different for my little blog that could! I know in recent posts you've heard me talk about all the blogs I follow!! And today, I'm going to link up with them for a series called "Get Pin-Spired!"  This is by no means a fashion blog but I have been inspired by these ladies to just try it!  Pinterest Told Me To really started out as a blog where she was inspired to try new outfits she had pinned with things in her own closet!  Which is basically what pinspired is!  I thought I would try it myself for this month and see what I could find!

I have been thinking about linking up for awhile now so I created a Pinspired board on Pinterst.  I went through it today and picked out this to try.
