Ya'll I am so excited!!  I have just one favorite to share with you this Friday!!   I'm taking a little blog break next week...hello beach vacation!!  (I guess that's my favorite too!!) and have something so awesome all lined up for you!!  While I'm away, a few of my blog besties from The Blended Blog are all GUEST POSTING right here!!

Solitary Life 101

Happy Thursday!  One more day til' the weekend...woo hoo!!

Using my insta handle as a post title today!  It's the third installment of You Might Live a Solitary Life If...these are some of my favorite posts EVER!!  Check out the first two here and here!!  Here's the summer edition!

You might live a solitary life if...

• The thought of not wearing a bra or any makeup all day is the highlight of your day!
• You forgo taking out the garbage and getting the mail because that requires the above said bra and makeup
• Ice cream is considered dinner right?!?
• You've made a meal for two...and eaten both...by yourself.
• You've gotten carsick traveling outside your three-mile radius!
• You've gone an entire day not talking to a single soul.
• Plans always seem like a great idea, then the day comes and you realize a bra, makeup and socializing is required...and all you wanna do is veg on the couch and watch reruns of Blue Bloods!
• Staying out till 10 p.m. is a successful night!
• Or on the very rare occasion you've stayed out til 2, 3 and beyond, you think..."damn I'm too old for this!"
• Wine and Scrabble with your 70 year old neighbor sounds like a great idea
• You're packed for vacation three weeks ahead of time
• You've thought about cancelling plans after a weird text exchange but then thought against it because it's been days since you've actually seen another human being that wasn't part of your family or a person in your town!
• You are abnormally excited for the Summer Olympics
• You finish the bottle of wine because you can't get the cork back in to save it!
• You curse every time your house phone rings...because it's ALL THE WAY OVER THERE!!
• You over-analyze and make up scenarios in your head that you know will never happen
• You have very serious conversations...with yourself!
• You consult Instagram to see how long a jar of pasta sauce has been open in the fridge.
• Your Timehop streak has reached 25...and you're pretty excited about it!
• You're back might be a little more burnt tanned than the front of you...because you don't have anyone to apply sunscreen properly back there.

I got 99 Brablems....

I'll let you in on a little secret...it's been days since I actually put on a bra!  (A Solitary Life perk!) It's summer!   Aren't bras optional in the summer anyway?  It's bathing suits and cover-ups for me these days.   And I've been seeing all over the internet these articles that are like...I went braless!...Not wearing a bra is good for your health!

But let's be for real...am I ever going to go without a bra for good??  No.  I teach elementary school! That'd be frowned upon.  Actually, not too long ago on my Facebook Page, I mentioned  that I was annoyed that I lived in a place where I have to put on a bra to put out the garbage and get the mail.! HA! So even though it's been days since I've worn a bra, clearly no other human will ever see me without one.  But they're not always the most comfortable! My favorite style is the balconet! But I probably have one (or more) of every style.  I feel like you need one in every style...because it depends on what you wear! LOL

Another strap issue is the big dig!!  This has happened to me one to many times!! 

 I really like this tip that says to go for a smaller band size and go up a cup!

Even though my straps have dig in, my biggest issue is probably the gap!  This is why I need the scoop and swoop!  HA!!  Because the girls are not twins, Third love even offers half sizes!!  That's just crazy and fabulously unique! A great reason to give them a try!  A gap is a no-go!

I MET JENNY!!!!

Fellow single gal and blogland pal, Jenny from Much ado about Jenny! It was so much freaking FUN!!!  And it certainly deserves a blog post all it's own, but I will say this...she's as sweet, kind and funny as her Instagram posts and blog portray her to be and you'd imagine!!  It felt like we'd known each other for forever...not meeting for the very first time.


Nordstrom Sale!
What does it say about me that I go to bed at 2 and wake up at 6 to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale???  But how could I not?  I placed a few orders online yesterday and may go back for another go around.  My only hope is that I don't love everything when I get it and can return a few things. :)


I Love You Stew!
Another favorite for me this week was my first ever visit to Stew Leonard's.  Stew's was never ever on Long Island, but I've been hearing about its' greatness from my friend for years.  It made it's way to Long Island earlier this year. Actually I mentioned in my 2016 Long Island Bucket List that a visit to Stew's was high priority.  Well Monday was the day!  And I was not disappointed.  Great prices, fun around every turn, fresh hot food bar and a beer bar...for growler fill-up! (But only on the weekend...so I already know a second trip is in my near future!  HA!!)  We had lunch there also.  There are picnic tables and a large tent outside to do so.  Seriously...so fun!

And there's even photo ops!!  So fun!!

2nd Annual IHOP Day!
Well I made it to IHOP last year for their 57cent pancakes and we went again this week...but it was the 58th anniversary so they were a cent more.  it's tradish now!!


GARTH!!
My bestie and I headed to Yankee Stadium on Saturday to see Garth Brooks.  The show was great...when it got started!  A storm forced them to keep pushing the show back and he didn't start playing til mere minutes before midnight!  So basically we saw Garth on Sunday! HA!  He is amazing as I heard he was and it was a once in a lifetime kind of night!  We talked about as young high schoolers we wanted to see his free show in Central Park, but alas, we were too young!  So this was it for us...no matter what time he came on!  And he did not disappoint.

He has a song called We Shall Be Free, which is almost 25 years old, but today, is relevant as ever. Has this not been just the most tragic summer?  How much more will this world have to endure?  Please take a listen to the words...and see if you agree!

Summer Go-to Look!

Joining Shelly at The Queen in Between today for  her Spiel the Beans with the Queens Series Linky Party.  Today the ladies are linking up and sharing a Summer Go-To look!  

Last summer, I did a similar post, were I shared that my JCrew Factory Chinos were my summer go-to piece!  I thought about switching things up for the post today, because lately all I've been wearing is a swimsuit!  HA!  But then I thought, I can't...because, when I actually do go out,  I KEEP WEARING THE CHINOS!  AND I CAN'T STOP BUYING THEM.  At this point I think I might have every color available!!  I began my love affair with these shorts during the summer of 2014, and to still be wearing them and keep buying new pairs says something!!  They really are just classic, comfortable, and easy...my favorites!!  I have them in a number of colors and have found they go with tons of things!!  You've seen them a number of times on the blog!  Here are some looks featuring my favorite shorts!  Including last week's TBB Summer Series photo that I posted on Instagram and garnered me lots of "likes", so that was cool!  {link up with us tomorrow!}

 

I always get these shorts on sale...paying no more than $20 bucks for them!  And am always keeping an eye out for different colors.  Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for a really red, red (think 4th of July red!) color to come out! They wrinkle a bit, but seriously, what doesn't?  I just really like these shorts.  I like that I can pair them with virtually anything, from a simple graphic or plain t-shirt, to a more formal top or tank.  I wear the bright coral ones with my chambray most often!  I really like the look of it!  I'd definitely recommend these!  Get them here.  Mine are the 3 inch, but they have 4, 5, 7 and 9 inch too.  So many options!!  I also have a few pairs of printed stretch chinos, but these solid colors are my go-to's and get the most wear.

June in Numbers

July is here!!  June was a good month...for me it means summer vacation has started!  So Life Is Good!!

15 school days- Filled with final assignments, last classes, and report cards!
13 days walked to and from school
3 graduations- Pre-K, Kindergarten and 8th grade

1 (only one?!?) Sushi date!

too many perseccos and margaritas consumed this month!

7 days of Summer Vacation...on one of which I went back to school! HA!

2 Blue Apron Deliveries- I tried Blue Apron this month.  My bestie gave me a free Box and I got another one because I forgot to skip it!!  Really good meals and fairly easy!!  I've gotten another box already for July too!

3 Moving Up ceremonies for 4 nieces and nephews and thee family birthdays!

1 movie seen in the theater- Me Before You = 1 box of tissues between 5 teary woman!

1 movie watched On Demand, Eddie the Eagle...so cute!!!

1 old school iPod back in working order after being dead 80 days!!!  Woo Hoo!!

Lots of days spent in the sunshine!
